About

When I was 6 years old, I played Madagascar on the GameCube, and one of the first things the game has you do is a minigame where you have to catch three of the same colored fish in a row. Being completely colorblind, this was a nearly impossible task, and at a young age I began thinking "I want to make video games that I and other blind people can play."

I have a rare form of blindness called Achromatopsia, it's a genetic eye disorder that causes my cone cells to not function, leaving me completely colorblind, very light sensitive, and with very poor vision. My disability has never stopped me from loving video games though, playing and making them. I got my degree in game design form the University of Utah to better my knowledge of game production so that I can work towards creating games for people regardless of disability.

Accessibility is very important to me, but UI/UX is my other passion in game development. I believe the user interface of a game is one of the most important and easy ways you can make a game accessible for visually impaired and hearing impaired people. It's been my main focus on recent projects of mine.
